I only drive the car at weekends, sometimes I don't get to drive it at all, which brings me to the problem, the temp needle is almost at the 12 o'clock position, my wife sa He has just done a head gasket repair but we can't get the van to start with fuel from the fuel tank. We have fully bled it pumped fuel through from the tank with a hand pump. Filled the fuel filter but it won't fire up. If we disconnect the fuel line from the tank and use a Jerry can of diesel it starts and runs. 1. The possible blocked pipe may now have split, although the fuel consumption seems fine. 2. It's just some excess diesel from the leak residing on the drip tray/floor of car under engine bay. I'm going to get hold of some torx keys to remove the under tray and clean it. My '06 Focus 1.8 TDCi has developed some power issues. It has now stopped 3 times, and needs a wait of between 5 - 10 minutes before it will start again.
